The role requires planning, delivering counseling services, and ensuring compliance with MTC and Texas directives. A Bachelor’s degree plus Texas licensure is expected, with strong leadership and data management skills to support offender rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Behavioral Science or related field preferred.
• Four years of wage-earning experience in substance abuse treatment.
• Current licensure as LCDC, LPC, or LPA in Texas.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the addiction severity index tester and substance abuse counselor II's.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement substance abuse counseling activities in DWI programs.
• Coordinate with other departments to maximize resources for chemical dependency treatment and rehabilitation.
