Job summary

Saab, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Manager of Subcontracts to lead a team delivering high‑value procurements. You will oversee the full subcontract lifecycle, negotiate complex agreements, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive supplier risk management within defense programs.

The role requires strategic oversight, collaboration with engineering, finance, and legal, and travel up to 25% in support of objectives. Based at Saab locations in the U.S., including Orlando, FL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years in supply chain, contracts, and materials management (or 7+ with Master’s).
• Leadership experience overseeing subcontracts, proposals, and planning teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Subcontracts team across programs and proposals.
• Oversee development, negotiation, and administration of complex subcontracts.
• Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS/DoD requirements and Saab policies.
• Provide subject matter guidance on subcontracting and risk evaluation.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to align sourcing with program goals.
• Develop and implement outsourcing strategies and continuous improvements.
• Establish subcontract policies, templates, and best practices.
• Support audits, government reviews, and documentation.
• Lead workforce planning, recruiting, and performance reviews.
