Shield AI is seeking a Structures Design Engineer to lead the design, development, and testing of a novel Launch and Recovery System for our next-gen UAS. You will create robust, field-deployable support equipment for military environments, collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and flight operations teams.

Responsibilities include CAD modeling, structural and thermal analyses, and validation against aerospace standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace or heavy industrial systems.
• Proficient in CAD for 3D modeling and drawings (SolidWorks, CATIA, or NX).
• Experience with FEA, thermal analysis, and fatigue testing.
• Knowledge of MIL-STD design requirements for aerospace systems.

Responsabilités

• Design and develop a Launch and Recovery System for next-gen UAS.
• Create CAD models, drawings, and manufacturing specs.
