Superior Skilled Trades is seeking a Structured Cabling Project Manager in Florida to lead commercial, government, and industrial low‑voltage projects from kickoff through closeout. You will manage schedules, budgets, resources, and customer relationships while guiding field teams to safe, on‑time, on‑budget delivery.

The role emphasizes leadership, technical mastery of copper/fiber systems, and strong financial accountability, without hands‑on installation duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in structured cabling or low-voltage systems with 3+ years in leadership roles.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects with field teams and subcontractors.
• Strong knowledge of copper/fiber cabling, pathways, MDF/IDF, testing and labeling.
• Ability to read scopes, blueprints, CAD drawings, RFPs and construction documents.
• Experience with estimating, budgeting, labor forecasting, procurement and change orders.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and PM/estimating tools.
• Valid Florida driver’s license and clean driving record. Able to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple structured cabling and low-voltage projects from planning to closeout.
• Develop schedules, labor plans, materials, milestones and installation strategies.
• Coordinate field supervisors, technicians, subcontractors, vendors, and general contractors.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions on schedule and budget.
• Maintain submittals, RFIs, change orders, progress reports, test results, and closeout packages.
• Lead, coach, and hold teams accountable for performance, safety, and quality.
• Manage budgets, labor utilization, material costs, forecasts, billing milestones, and margins.
• Collaborate with sales/estimating to validate project scope and costs before proposals.
• Document scope changes and secure approvals before additional work.
• Serve as primary contact for customers, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Lead kickoff, coordination, progress, and closeout meetings with clear communication.
• Ensure installations meet BICSI/TIA/NEC and company safety standards.
• Provide technical oversight for copper and fiber systems, pathways, testing, and labeling.
• Identify opportunities to improve planning, reporting, and profitability.
