Job summary

gpac is seeking a Structural Design Engineer to join our team in Charlotte, NC. The role focuses on structural analysis, steel connection design, and erection engineering for large-scale projects, with emphasis on accuracy and timely delivery.

The ideal candidate brings 4+ years of experience, a civil/structural engineering degree (PE/EIT/SE preferred), and strong communication skills. Proficiency in Ram/RISA/Excel/Revit is highly valued, along with a commitment to professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering is required.
• EIT/PE/SE certification is required or strongly preferred.
• 4+ years of structural engineering experience.
• Experience with steel connection design and shop drawing reviews beneficial.
• Proficiency with RAM, RISA, Excel, and BIM tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis for delegated steel connection design projects.
• Work on steel connection, miscellaneous steel design, and erection engineering.
• Develop calculations, review shop drawings, and prepare submittals.
• Create and update calculations using Ram Connection, RISA, Excel, and Revit.
• Review 3-D BIM models for design, connection and shop drawing accuracy.
