A leading engineering firm in Kansas City is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead project teams in the Utility & Energy sub-market. This role includes overseeing design from conception to construction, maintaining client standards, and managing project budgets. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Structural Engineering or related field, 7 years of experience, and strong knowledge of engineering practices and codes. Qualifications
7 years of structural engineering experience. EPC project experience preferred.
Successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
Experience with leading the discipline design for large projects.
Responsibilities
Lead structural design project teams for various projects.
Maintain client structural standards for substation projects.
Prepare structural equipment specifications and technical documents.
Quality review production drawings for multiple projects.
Lead field inspections and prepare technical reports.
Skills
Expert knowledge in standard engineering techniques and procedures
Strong computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education
Bachelor Degree in Structural Engineering or related degree from an ABET accredited program
