Job summary

GTI is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to design and analyze large steel structures for modular industrial applications. You will work hands-on from calculations to fabrication and field deployment, with opportunities to support diverse projects.

Remote role with travel up to 25% to support facilities and field activities. A PE license and 5+ years of experience in structural engineering are highly valued, with proficiency in RISA/STAAD/SAP2000 and related tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 5+ years of hands-on structural engineering experience.
• Proven experience performing structural calculations and steel design.
• Experience with structural analysis software such as RISA, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze structural steel frames, platforms, supports, and enclosures.
• Perform and document calculations including sizing, connections, and load paths.
• Evaluate static, dynamic, wind, seismic, fatigue and lifting loads as applicable.
• Develop models using RISA, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000 or similar software.
• Collaborate with engineers, fabricators, and project teams to move designs to fabrication.
• Review drawings and field conditions, providing practical engineering solutions.
• Support prototype builds, validation, installation, and field modifications.
