Job summary

Markent Personnel is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer/Designer in Atlanta to design and oversee structural systems for a variety of project types, including manufacturing, data centers, and renovations.

Requirements include 10+ years in structural engineering, a professional license, seismic experience, and strong leadership. Proficiency with Revit and RAM/RISA is preferred; candidate will mentor staff, coordinate with clients, and ensure code compliance across projects.

Qualifications

10+ years’ minimum experience in structural engineering.
Professional license is required.
Seismic experience is required.
Ability to identify applicable codes in project jurisdictions and apply to the project.
Working knowledge of Revit is preferred.
Project management experience/ability is required.
Must demonstrate team leadership ability.

Responsibilities

Designing structural systems for manufacturing, distribution, data center, commercial, self-storage, churches, historical, public sector, retail, adaptive reuse, and renovations.
Interacting with clients, attending client, architect and contractor meetings, reviewing structural documentation, mentoring junior staff.
Preparing design calculations and managing construction documents, reviewing shop drawings and submittals, performing site reviews and preparing RFI responses.
Coordinating information across disciplines to ensure deliverables meet client expectations and company quality levels.
