Job summary

Achievers USA in Massachusetts is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to design and analyze building structures, taking projects from early concept through construction.

You will perform structural calculations, prepare drawings and specs, conduct site visits, coordinate with architects and contractors, and mentor junior staff. The role is primarily remote with weekly in-office meetings, ~40–45 hours weekly, and a hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or related field.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
• 6–10 years of structural engineering experience focused on building design.
• Strong hands-on experience designing and analyzing building structures is required.
• Experience with wood, steel, and concrete structural systems.
• Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles, building codes, and design standards.
• Experience preparing structural calculations and construction documents.
• PE license or progress toward PE licensure preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to perform field work and site visits.

Software

Experience with RISA, RAM, Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Enercalc, and Microsoft Office is preferred. Experience with comparable software will also be considered.

Work Environment

The position is primarily remote, with weekly in-office meetings and additional office or field attendance as needed based on project requirements. The role is expected to average approximately 40–45 hours per week.

Salary: $90,000–$145,000/year
