Job summary

LVI Associates is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Wisconsin-based heavy civil infrastructure team. The role focuses on bridges, roads, and related projects, with a strong emphasis on steel design and collaboration with construction teams.

The position is hybrid, office-based primarily in Wisconsin (Waukesha / Wauwatosa area), with occasional site visits and travel within the region. You will mentor junior engineers and contribute to leadership as the team grows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 5+ years in heavy civil structural engineering, bridge/highway projects.
• PE or SE licensure preferred; licensure encouraged if not yet obtained.
• Experience with steel design required; concrete/timber beneficial.
• AutoCAD experience required.

Responsibilities

• Support design of heavy civil projects focused on bridges and roads.
• Model, analyze, and design structural systems, emphasizing steel.
• Prepare calculations, drawings, and technical deliverables.
• Collaborate with construction, PM, and engineering teams.
• Provide design review support and site visits.
• Mentor junior/mid-level engineers.
• Use AutoCAD to produce documentation.
