LJB Inc. in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Senior-level Structural Engineer to lead fall protection projects within our Safety practice.

You will analyze, design, plan, and fabricate structural components, guiding teams through project milestones and client coordination. The role requires a PE, 8+ years of experience in structural engineering with fall protection focus, and proficiency in Revit and related CAD tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, architectural, or mechanical engineering with structural emphasis required (master’s degree preferred).
• 8+ years’ engineering experience with structural design, preferring fall protection.
• Professional Engineer (PE) credential and CAD experience (Revit/Bluebeam) and RAM/STRAP or similar.

Responsibilities

• Lead internal teams to complete projects by planning, prioritizing, and setting deadlines.
• Perform QC reviews of project calculations and deliverables.
• Analyze building components for fall protection systems and coordinate with the existing structure.
• Develop layouts for fall protection systems addressing customer needs.
• Prepare construction documents for installation of fall protection systems.
• Utilize Revit and CAD tools to execute engineering tasks.
• Coordinate projects with clients and attend meetings as needed.
• Maintain technical knowledge through ongoing training.
