Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer in Tysons, VA to design, plan, and oversee the construction of safe, sustainable structures. You will collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to deliver high-quality projects.

Responsibilities include design/analysis with CAD, project management, and ensuring compliance with building codes. Eligible candidates have a Civil/Structural background and 2+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years of structural engineering experience.
• Proficiency with CAD software and engineering design tools.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze structures using CAD; ensure safety and compliance.
• Prepare drawings and specifications; coordinate with architects and contractors.
• Ensure designs meet local, state, and federal building codes.
• Identify and resolve design/construction issues; provide technical support.
• Prepare reports and document project progress.
