Job summary

Altitude Aerospace invites a Sr. Structural Design Engineer to join our US-based team. The role emphasizes ownership of 3D design, integration of structural systems, and weight and balance considerations for Special Missions programs using Siemens NX.

You will drive concepts to releasable packages with minimal oversight. The candidate should have 7+ years in aerospace structural design, expert NX skills, GD&T proficiency, and experience with PLM tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent required.
• 7+ years of structural design experience on aerospace programs.
• Strong 3D modeling and assembly design in Siemens NX.
• Familiarity with GD&T and engineering drawing standards.
• Experience with PLM tools such as Teamcenter or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop structural aircraft systems and components in Siemens NX from concept through production release.
• Develop and manage 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings to airworthiness standards.
• Perform weight and balance studies to support component sizing and system layout decisions.
• Coordinate with lead engineers, stress, certification, and systems teams to ensure design intent.
• Prepare engineering documentation and design presentations for internal and client reviews.
