Job summary

GRAEF in Orlando is seeking a Senior Structural Bridge Engineer to design bridges and contribute to business development on high-profile projects. You will lead design efforts, review drawings, and coordinate with the team in a hybrid Orlando office.

The ideal candidate will have a Civil Engineering degree with a Structural emphasis, 8+ years in bridge design, PE license in Florida, and proficiency in MicroStation; OpenBridge experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with Structural emphasis.
• Master’s degree in Structural Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of practical experience in structural design of bridges with FDOT knowledge preferred.
• Registration as a PE in FL is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead designing and preparing plans, specifications and estimates for Bridges per FDOT requirements.
• Perform structural analysis and design with a concentration on Florida Highway structures.
• Review shop drawings and perform structural inspection of bridges and highway structures.
• Lead design meetings and coordinate with team members.
• Mentor, train and develop junior staff.
• Assist with business development and proposals; expand client base.
