Archer, located in San Jose, California, is seeking a Senior Structural Test Engineer to lead airframe structural testing efforts. This role involves design, analysis, and completion of stress analysis to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering and at least 6 years of experience in composite and metallic analysis. The position requires strong collaboration skills and leading test execution activities.
Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all‑electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all‑electric aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise.
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum Experience: Senior Structural Test Engineer or related title with 6 years in Composite and Metallic analysis (static and fatigue), design engineering, and instrumentation engineering.
Alternate Education: Master’s Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
Alternate Experience 1: Senior Structural Test Engineer with 4 years in CATIA V5 and Abaqus (static and fatigue) for composites.
Alternate Education 2: PhD in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
Alternate Experience 2: Senior Structural Test Engineer with 2 years in CATIA V5 and Abaqus (static and fatigue) for composites.
Travel Requirement: 10% domestic travel.
