Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Design Engineering Analysis Section Manager 2. This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program.

What You’ll Get To Do
The manager will lead a growing team of structural analysis engineers and will be responsible for leading all managerial tasks relevant to structural analysis.
The manager will work 80% of their time in the structural analysis engineering discipline, as directed by the Command and Launch Infrastructure program IPT Lead. The manager will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and facilitating communications, tasking, scheduling, and technical reviews with each individual contributor’s execution lead in Roy, UT.
Functional home room support, approximately 20% of the manager’s time will be focused on recruiting, staffing, retaining talent, weekly team meetings, bi-weekly 1:1 meetings, and holding performance review discussions. Supporting relevant Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Community of Practice is expected.
Analyzes, researches and develops structural engineering specifications involving metals, non-metallic or composite structural materials for product design, or operation of product to include structures, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronics, power plant, armament, heating and ventilating, equipment and maintenance designs. Analyzes damage tolerance, durability, design allowables and structural modeling. Specific structural engineering specialties may include dynamics and loads, stability and stress fatigue and thermal analysis. Tools utilized may include CATIA, IDEAS, ProEngineer and a variety of software applications.
