Job summary

Scientific Research Corporation seeks a Senior Stress Analyst in Jacksonville, FL to develop stress analyses, review drawings, and support P-8A modifications. You will ensure Technical Data Packages are complete and accurate, while coordinating with design engineers and responding to customer requests.

The role requires a BS/BA with 5+ years of experience, strong communication and engineering skills, and the ability to work on-site with occasional travel. A U.S.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with government and defense projects is a plus.
• Strong communication and analytical problem-solving skills required.

Responsibilities

• Develop stress analysis reports and review/sign drawings for developmental systems to program management and customers.
• Support P-8A modifications to include internal racks, sensors/antennas, and radomes; ensure related TDPs are complete and accurate.
• Perform research and analysis to enhance technical development of products/services.
• Collaborate with design engineers to ensure final product is sound and complete.
• Provide on-site engineering support to Fleet Support Team and respond to customer requests.
• Review and sign technical documents including drawings and stress analyses.
• Provide solutions to problems in a narrow engineering field and prepare analyses and reports.
• Formulate and evaluate broad engineering concepts and develop improved techniques and methods.

Description

• Developing stress analysis reports and reviewing/signing drawings for developmental systems to program management and customers
• Supporting P-8A modifications to include internal racks, sensors/antennas, and radomes, as well as ensure accompanying Flight Clearance Technical Data Packages (TDPs) are complete and accurate
• Performing research and analysis on projects to enhance the technical development of the product and/or service
• Working closely with the design engineers to ensure the final product is sound/complete
• Providing on-site engineering support to the Fleet Support Team and responding to customer requests
• Reviewing and signing technical documents to include drawings and stress analysis
• Providing support solving problems in a narrow specialty field and preparing engineering and technical analysis and reports
• Formulating, evaluating, and correlation broad engineering/scientific concepts, guiding and the analysis of unique problems, and developing new and improved techniques and methods

Requirements

• BS/BA and appropriate work experience, prefer 5 years of experience or more

Desired Skills

• A familiarity working with a wide range of government civilians, military personnel, other contractors, and vendors and the ability to communicate effectively via telephone, email and in person, and analytical skills
• Other important skills include verbal and written communication skills, problem solving, able to read and correctly interpret engineering Level 3 electrical drawings and documents, short-term planning, and computer skills, and knowledge of engineering methods, operation techniques, and other principles in determining potential solutions
• Skills must include use of Auto-CAD and modeling software, as well as the Microsoft Office suite to perform day to day tasks
• Required to assign, manage, review, and approve avionics team work products
