Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Senior Strength and Conditioning Specialist to lead strength and conditioning and injury mitigation for SOF personnel. The role designs, administers, and refines evidence-based programs to optimize physical performance and recovery, while tracking effectiveness with analytics. U.S.

Qualifications

• Master's degree and 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Current licensed therapist valid in the state of practice.
• Bachelor’s degree in exercise science/health science or related discipline; master’s preferred.
• NSCA CSCS or CSCCA certification required.
• CPR/AED certification current.
• Physically proficient to demonstrate prescribed exercises for SOF personnel.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise core strength and conditioning activities for SOF personnel.
• Design, administer, and refine evidence-based training programs.
• Coordinate training programs with Physical Domain staff to support return to training after injury.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements and quality standards.
• Provide expert instruction and guidance on training protocols and safety.
• Develop facility procedures and ensure proper maintenance of equipment.
