Xcimer Energy in Denver is looking for a Senior Stray Light Optical Engineer to be the primary technical authority on stray light mitigation. This full-time, onsite role involves modeling complex optical layouts to assess and eliminate parasitic light that compromises system performance. Applicants should possess a B.S. or M.S. in Optical Engineering or a related field, with significant experience in stray light analysis and proficiency in FRED software. This position offers a salary between $160,000 and $200,000 annually.
Qualifications
5+ years of dedicated experience in stray light analysis and non-sequential optomechanical modeling.
Expert-level proficiency in non-sequential optical design software, with a strong preference for FRED.
Demonstrated experience writing scripts to automate optical analysis and process ray trace data.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive non-sequential ray tracing to analyze stray light in high-energy DUV laser systems.
Identify and mitigate high-fluence 'hot spots' to prevent optical damage.
Implement mechanical feature models within non-sequential environments to actively mitigate stray light.
