Carnegie Mellon University’s Software Engineering Institute (SEI) invites a Senior Talent Acquisition Partner to drive strategic recruitment for engineers, researchers, and technologists, partnering with leaders to identify top talent aligned with our mission-driven culture.

You will manage the full lifecycle, craft targeted sourcing, and ensure a high-touch candidate experience while collaborating across technical and programmatic teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive recruiting experience in technical domains (software engineering, cybersecurity, AI/ML, data science, etc.).
• Experience with Workday or similar ATS.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with discipline and adaptability.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience working in cross-functional, team-based settings.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic recruiter to SEI leadership and technical teams, aligning hiring with mission-driven culture.
• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from requisition to offer and onboarding.
• Partner with hiring leaders to develop recruiting strategies, hiring plans, and timelines for critical technical positions.
• Design and deploy targeted sourcing strategies using professional networks, academic partnerships, and innovative approaches.
• Deliver an exceptional candidate experience with proactive communication and transparency.
• Collaborate with teammates to challenge assumptions and improve processes to strengthen outcomes.
