Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Rolling Meadows, IL, is seeking a Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist to join the Mission Systems Global Supply Chain SC Planning team. You will manage on-time requirements, PO placements, and material budgets to keep programs on schedule.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree with 5+ years in supply chain or a master’s with 3+ years, SAP/ERP experience, and US citizenship with the ability to obtain a government secret clearance. Travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in supply chain, contracts, or related field OR Master’s degree and 3+ years in related area.
Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Government Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

Manage on-time requirement release, PO placements, and delivery dates to maintain program schedule.
Manage material budget for contracts and baselining/EVMS requirements.
Forecast material cost/performance using Cognos, CMEs, IPRS.
Identify and manage program risks and opportunities related to material requirements.
Analyze lead times and identify critical path procurements.
Monitor supplier capacity and production issues.
Operate in a fast-paced production environment with leading-edge technology suppliers.
Travel up to 10% as required.
