Job summary

A leading company in food production is seeking a Senior Manager of Strategic Sourcing to lead enterprise-wide procurement strategies. This role involves driving supplier relationships, contract negotiations, and cost optimization initiatives. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of relevant experience, strong leadership and strategic sourcing expertise. You will work closely with teams to enhance sourcing performance and ensure quality and supply assurance. A relocation package is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university and 8+ years of relevant experience.
Master's degree in Business or related field and 6+ years of relevant experience.
2+ years of demonstrated experience in team management or project leadership.
Progressive experience utilizing strategic sourcing techniques.
Proven ability to read, write, and negotiate complex contracts.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute procurement programs including sourcing and vendor selection.
Apply negotiation principles to secure favorable contract terms.
Define and oversee cost-saving targets and conduct spend analysis.
Drive continuous improvement in vendor service levels and technology adoption.
Partner with business leaders to understand needs and leverage purchasing power.
Work with corporate and plant teams to reduce costs and ensure quality.
Conduct regular evaluations of packaging vendors.
Provide leadership and employee development.
