Job summary

The City of Fort Worth is seeking a Sr. Professional Engineer - Stormwater to lead teams evaluating stormwater issues and managing capital projects.

This role requires strong leadership, project management, and civil engineering expertise, with a focus on coordinating with consultants and city stakeholders. The successful candidate will oversee scope, schedule, and budget while ensuring compliance with regulations, and will work with the Engineering Manager to implement policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Three years of professional civil engineering experience, two in design/construction projects and/or infrastructure design/review of private development projects.
• Texas Professional Engineer registration or obtain within six months of employment if licensed elsewhere.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams to evaluate stormwater issues and develop scope, schedule, and budget for stormwater infrastructure capital projects.
• Manage consultants, review plans, specifications, contracts, amendments and invoices.
• Collaborate with City officials, residents and agencies to ensure project success.
• Provide direct support to the Engineering Manager and help develop policies, procedures, goals and objectives.
• Meet deadlines and coordinate with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrate strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
