Job summary

Arcadis in Nashville, TN is seeking a senior stormwater engineer to deliver sustainable drainage and roadway projects across Tennessee and Kentucky, joining a global network of engineers to provide practical, lasting solutions while advancing your career.

You will perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, prepare drainage reports, ensure compliance with TNTC and water regulations, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with roadways, structures, and environmental teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited program.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification; Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility is a plus.
• Strong understanding of state and local stormwater regulations, roadway design standards, and hydraulic analysis principles.
• Familiarity with industry-standard design and modeling tools (HEC-RAS, HY-8, StormCAD, MicroStation, AutoCAD Civil 3D, OpenRoads, GIS) with a willingness to learn and adapt.

Responsibilities

• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to support stormwater management system designs, including drainage networks and floodplain evaluations.
• Prepare and review drainage reports, calculations, and construction documentation.
• Ensure compliance with state and local stormwater regulations and coordinate with relevant agencies.
• Develop stormwater design solutions for transportation and infrastructure projects across Tennessee and Kentucky.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate drainage and stormwater systems into project design.
