Job summary

Accura Engineering in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Civil/Environmental Engineer to design and manage stormwater projects on site. You will perform hydrologic/hydraulic analyses, prepare reports and drawings, and coordinate with clients, agencies, and contractors to ensure regulatory compliance.

The role requires a 5+ year track record in civil/stormwater engineering, strong CAD skills (AutoCAD/Civil 3D/MicroStation), and knowledge of green infrastructure. PE license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in civil/stormwater engineering.
• Knowledge in stormwater design including green infrastructure practices.
• Strong knowledge of CAD software and drafting procedures.
• Proficiency in civil engineering software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation).
• Strong understanding of local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to stormwater management.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• Experience with green infrastructure and low-impact development (LID) design.
• Familiarity with stormwater quality modeling and BMPs.
• Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing project needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop stormwater management plans, including analysis and design of stormwater systems.
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using software like HEC-RAS, SWMM, or similar.
• Prepare reports, drawings, and specifications for proposals and permitting.
• Coordinate with clients, agencies, and contractors.
• Conduct site evaluations, field inspections, and oversee construction for design compliance.
• Assist in preparing project budgets, schedules, and proposals.
• Provide technical support and mentorship to junior staff.
• Determine and develop effective site solutions utilizing Stormwater product offerings.
• Present project-specific solutions to civil engineer specifiers.
• Provide design calculations and drawings for site plans.
• Respond to inquiries on local stormwater regulations.
• Establish and maintain rapport with civil engineer specifiers.
• Support team members to achieve goals.
• Provide project and technical support for submittals, regulatory approvals, production, and product delivery.
• Record project information accurately.
