Job summary

Mattress Firm is seeking a Senior Store Manager to lead the vision, drive sales performance, and oversee merchandising across multiple stores. You will train staff, coach on product knowledge, and manage performance reviews while ensuring exceptional customer experiences.

You will coordinate staffing, hiring, and scheduling, align with field teams, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations. The role offers uncapped commission opportunities and a strong growth path in a dynamic retail

Qualifications

• Experience leading store teams and driving sales performance.
• Ability to coach and develop staff through training and performance reviews.
• Familiarity with staffing, interviewing, and hiring across multiple stores.
• Track record of achieving or exceeding financial targets and KPIs.
• Knowledge of merchandising standards, marketing execution, and POS/POP guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead vision and sales performance across multiple Mattress Firm store units.
• Train and coach store employees in sales, product knowledge, and operational activities; conduct annual reviews and IDPs.
• Create an engaging, customer-centered store environment and ensure a high-quality in-store experience.
• Communicate with field teams to address issues and coordinate actions.
• Assist in staffing, interviewing, and hiring qualified candidates for multiple stores.
• Develop skills and product knowledge through training and company-led activities.
• Manage workforce planning (staffing schedules, punches, etc.) with Operations support.
• Achieve or exceed store financial targets through effective execution and customer service.
• Ensure product merchandising, marketing, and POP standards are followed.
• Ensure policies and state regulations are adhered to.
• Collaborate with marketing to plan and monitor social media strategy to boost brand awareness and sales.
• Lift or move 50+ pounds.

The role is responsible for leading selling programs, driving related KPI results in multiple store units and supporting the omni-channel experience.
