DICK’S Sporting Goods, Inc. is seeking a Senior Store Designer to lead design across the store portfolio, developing environmental concepts, creating 3D models and 2D drawings, and communicating design intent with internal and external partners.

This role requires a Bachelor’s in Architecture or Interior Design and 5–7 years in retail design, with strong Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp and rendering skills, plus the ability to manage multiple projects within budgets.

Qualifications

  • 5–7 years in architecture/retail design environments preferred.
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp and rendering tools.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design process across store portfolio and ensure brand alignment.
  • Create 3D models, 2D drawings, and presentations communicating design intent.
  • Coordinate with Architects, PMs and vendors through all project phases.
  • Maintain budget, schedules and design deliverables with accuracy.

Overview

Design Implementation: Adapt, scale and execute the store design vision and strategy across the DICK’s Sporting Goods stores portfolio. Lead a design process of clear ideation focusing on design brand standards and business strategy, creating 3D models, 2D drawings, presentations, and details that effectively communicate design intent with internal and external partners. Drive design process and best practices to ensure creative intent and design deliverables are met. Create, refine, and evolve environmental design components across the full DICK’s Sporting Goods stores portfolio. Work across multiple large-scale projects and initiatives simultaneously with ability to prioritize and balance workload. Ensures accuracy of plans designed prior to releasing them to the architect of record. Provide design solutions that are within budget and raising awareness when risks arise.

Coordination & Communication

The Senior Store Designer is the central point of communication for the plan development process and is responsible for providing plans and plan updates to key stakeholders such as Architects, Construction Project Managers, and Visual Merchandising. Implements and coordinates requests for changes that apply to assigned projects. Incorporate business strategies and metrics into consumer engaging store layouts and fixture compositions. Key point of contact through all phases of a project for the resolution of site condition related issues and the coordination of solutions with all internal and external partners. Communicate and present design concepts to the Design Director and VP. Coordinates with outside fixture vendors on the addition of new fixtures into store takeoff processes and provides fixture takeoff information using Revit software. Provides the Procurement Team with accurate plans.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Interior Design or related field, or equivalent education, experience, and training 5-7 years experience in Architecture, Interior Design, Retail design industry/environments preferred
  • Proficient in Revit BIM software
  • Experience utilizing Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proficient in AutoCad
  • Experience in V-Ray and Enscape is a plus
  • Proficient in SketchUp
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated strength in operating in a design studio and delivering progressively complex proejcts of varying scales, budgets, and timelines
  • Expert in applying design skills including concepting, ideation, spacial design in scale, and space planning layouts.
  • Strong knowledge of production design, fabrication, materiality, and emerging trends.
  • Highly collaborative with ability to work within a team and independently
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing work priorities, demands, and changes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to present in small or large group settings #LI-RM
