Job summary

Sodexo is hiring for a Senior Stock Worker and Receiver at the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford. The role involves receiving, unloading, labeling, stocking, and assisting customers with orders across stores, warehouses, stockrooms, and storage facilities.

You will verify shipments, maintain inventory records, keep storage areas clean, and use a computerized purchasing system. A lead or supervisory background and possible forklift certification are requested, with flexible on-call

Qualifications

• 2+ years of lead or supervisor experience or equivalent business experience.
• Forklift operation certification may be required.
• Ability to receive, store and issue inventory and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Receive merchandise, unload or unpack it and mark with codes for identification.
• Stock shelves and assist customers with orders.
• Verify and record incoming/outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of storage areas and operate a computerized purchasing system.
• Support management in daily key functions and supervise during shifts.
