Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Sr Sterile Processing Technician to decontaminate, assemble, inspect, wrap and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment for Surgical Services and ancillary departments. The role supports the OR staff to provide timely sterile products, trays, and case carts while ensuring high standards of safety and customer service.

The candidate must be certified (CRCST or CSPDT) with at least two years of sterile processing experience and strong English communication skills

Qualifications

• Two years of sterile processing experience.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification.
• Ability to communicate in English with diverse teams and patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination, assembly, inspection, wrapping and sterilization of instruments.
• Maintain workflow between OR and Sterile Processing to ensure timely sterile products.
• Follow Universal Precautions and departmental protocols for safety and quality.
