Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Faculty Advisor for Mathematics and Statistics to join the North America Customer Success team. This role partners with course-level administrators to align Pearson digital products with instructors’ objectives and student outcomes, with a focus on Statistics at the college or university level.

You will train faculty, develop tutorials, and work with product, sales, and support teams while traveling for on-site or remote workshops as needed.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Statistics is required.
  • At least 5 years of full-time teaching experience at the collegiate level in Statistics is required.
  • Power-user experience with Pearson MyLab is required.
  • Knowledge and experience in multiple fields in Mathematics and Statistics preferred; experience with Data Science and/or Engineering highly desirable.
  • Online teaching experience preferred.
  • LMS experience preferred.
  • Experience with Copilot and other Generative AI tools a plus.
  • Ability to engage with international customers in different time zones a plus.
  • Experience presenting at conferences, department meetings, and events.
  • High Achievement: Collegiate Teaching Award(s)

Responsibilities

  • Partner with course-level administrators, providing discipline experience and digital product knowledge, to advise on the right integration of Pearson digital products and implementation that will best support teaching and learning goals.
  • Consult on digital assessment, grading, and reporting strategies; Provide deep understanding and best practices knowledge instructing with MyLab.
  • Consult with customers on modifying or creating content.
  • Create department-specific training resources such as videos, guides, and live as well as recorded webinars as needed.
  • Consult with Productteams to advise on development of new platforms, tools, and features.
  • Partner with Sales in campaigns, calls and meetings, demonstrations, and other sales enablement initiatives.
  • Use a set of success metrics and reporting structures to provide customers as well as internal stakeholders with written documentation of the recommendations and evolution of the course design and implementation.
