Job summary

AstraZeneca is seeking a Senior Statistician with substantial pharmaceutical statistics experience to work independently on design, analysis and interpretation across preclinical and clinical programs. The role also involves contributing to regulatory submissions and communicating results to cross‑functional teams.

The successful candidate will mentor less experienced statisticians, develop robust analytical plans, and apply innovative approaches to improve study design and decision making.

Qualifications

• PhD with 2+ years pharma statistics experience
• Ability to work independently on design, delivery and interpretation of studies
• Mentor and guide less experienced statisticians

Responsibilities

• Provide statistical expertise for complex design and interpretation for preclinical or clinical programs
• Analyse internal and external information and support design decisions
• Develop a Statistical Analysis Plan for complex studies
• Coach less experienced statisticians in analysis and reporting
• Communicate results of complex studies to stakeholders
• Contribute to regulatory submissions and responses
