Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a Stationary Operations Engineer to oversee and maintain all stationary equipment within a critical facility.

The role requires extensive knowledge of boilers, HVAC, chillers, pumps, and control systems, with a focus on safety, documentation, and regulatory compliance. The candidate will perform routine inspections, troubleshoot complex systems, and act as a first responder to emergencies.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 10+ years of facilities maintenance experience.
  • Experience operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting central plant and institutional mechanical systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to read and interpret technical documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, maintain, and monitor boilers, HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and other stationary equipment.
  • Conduct regular inspections and respond to service calls while recording findings in the CMMS.
  • Diagnose malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, maintenance, repairs and replacements per standards.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations; collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams.
  • Serve as first responder during stationary equipment emergencies and pursue continuous learning.
