Qualifications

• Three years of operation, maintenance, and/or repair of stationary high‑pressure boilers and heating systems.
• Certificate of completion of an advanced Stationary Engineer course; HVAC journeyman license or complete apprentice program; or 4 years HVAC company experience with VRF/Dedicated OA systems.
• One year of State service as a Stationary Engineer or related role.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and repair two high‑pressure steam boilers and related systems.
• Maintain safe, efficient boiler/HVAC operation and respond to after‑hours incidents.
• Inspect and service feedwater pumps, condensate pumps, deaerators, and safety equipment.
• Interpret schematics and adjust combustion management systems (HAWK, PLCs, Metasys).
• Perform chemical treatment, blow‑down, and routine maintenance of boiler rooms.
