Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• Five years of experience with GIS technologies and geospatial data management.
• Proficiency in ArcGIS, QGIS, ERDAS or similar platforms.
• Experience with PostGIS or SQL Server Spatial.
• Strong knowledge of spatial modeling and complex spatial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing GIS operations for the State of Arkansas.
• Leading advanced geospatial analysis and spatial modeling for urban planning, environment, and resources.
• Utilizing GIS tools to inform state policies and projects.
• Conducting predictive and statistical spatial modeling to support state initiatives.
• Managing complex geospatial databases and ensuring data quality and accuracy.
• Integrating diverse geospatial data sources into GIS systems.
• Ensuring data governance, including metadata and version control.
• Leading GIS projects from inception to completion within timelines and budgets.
• Mentoring junior GIS analysts to develop skills.
• Designing and producing high-quality maps and visualizations.
