Job summary

Google’s UX Engineers are versatile, passionate, and driven to advance the design teams by developing products and prototypes that bring innovative ideas to life.

Joining a multi-disciplinary UX team, you will collaborate with Engineering and Product Management to create industry-leading experiences, using user insights to drive decisions and bridge design and engineering across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience in front-end development, technical UX design, or prototyping.
• Experience in application development in one or more platforms (web, iOS, Android, CompDes, XR).

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert for the broader organization, establishing best practices to push browser, device, and AI system capabilities.
• Act as a cross-functional liaison to drive consensus among UX Designers, Researchers, Product Managers, and Software Engineers; architect front-end solutions for high-complexity problems.
• Deliver on large portions of projects by writing code, while aligning outcomes with stakeholders for user benefit.
• Design and develop front-ends of user-facing products with a human-centered research approach, meeting engineering and design goals.
• Lead the creation of prototypes to support user studies and decision-making across the development cycle.
