Job summary

CesiumAstro in the United States is seeking a Senior Staff Component Engineer to lead parts selection, qualification, and supplier evaluation for high‑reliability aerospace systems. You will own NSARs/SCDs, develop roadmaps for state‑of‑the‑art EEE components, and collaborate with design, reliability, and quality teams to mitigate risk and drive product upgrades.

• Knowledge of component selection, qualification, screening and derating for military and aerospace.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as CesiumAstro’s technical representative with customers to define testing and qualification requirements for all EEE parts.
• Develop a roadmap for state‑of‑the‑art components, working with the engineering design team for an effective product upgrade strategy while balancing cost and schedule.
• Prepare NSPARs and SCDs and review ECOs for procurement and test control documents.
• Interface with design, reliability, and quality engineers to mitigate risk and support product development.
