Job summary

Salesforce’s Slack Frontend Infrastructure team seeks a Senior Staff Engineer to lead frontend architecture, improving performance, scalability, and reliability at scale. You will partner with product, platform, and infrastructure to guide architectural decisions and mentor engineers.

Slack's Frontend Infrastructure team is responsible for the foundation of our desktop web client. We build and maintain the systems that power the user interface of one of the most widely used enterprise communication platforms in the world. We're seeking a Senior Staff Engineer to help lead the next generation of frontend architecture - improving performance, scalability, developer productivity, and reliability at scale. As a technical leader on the team, you'll partner across product, platform, and infrastructure to guide architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and shape the direction of the frontend at Slack.

Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications
  • Expertise in frontend performance: React/Redux optimizations, memory profiling, flame graph analysis, and tuning for production.
  • Experience leading large-scale migrations, upgrades, or frontend modernization initiatives.
  • Familiarity with persistence layers, service workers, caching strategies, and offline functionality.

In office expectations are 10 days/a quarter to support customers and/or collaborate with their teams.
