Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, EE, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years designing distributed, cross-platform test infrastructures for hardware-software integration.
• 5 years with concurrent programming, multi-threading, or asynchronous systems architectures.
• 5 years with communication protocols (e.g., TCP/IP or RPC).
• Master's or PhD in Engineering, CS, or related field preferred.
• Experience with instrument SDKs and testing hardware control software.
• CI/CD pipelines and cross-platform build server management experience.
• Familiarity with C++ and GPU compute workflows; Python interfacing with binaries.
• Background in optical hardware-systems, cameras, displays, image processing.
• Strong knowledge of Linux OS internals and cross-platform IPC.

Responsibilities

• Architect a unified, high-performance software ecosystem bridging instrument control and image processing pipelines.
• Own test cycle latency and optimize asynchronous execution and inter-process communication.
• Lead architectural evolution from monolithic code to decoupled, distributed cross-platform design.
• Utilize internal tools to mature the SDLC with robust release pipelines and automated testing.
• Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
