Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Staff Software Engineer to join our scientific and medical device software development team. You will be responsible for leading software engineers to plan, build, integrate, test, and deliver software capabilities across a portfolio of software subsystems. This role combines hands‑on technical leadership, people leadership, and execution accountability. You will work closely with software architects, product management, systems engineering, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, program management, and remote software teams to ensure the final product meets user needs, business objectives, quality standards, schedule commitments, and applicable medical device regulatory requirements. You will be a mentor for the team, a bridge across software and cross‑functional teams, and a practicing engineer who remains engaged in design reviews, code reviews, troubleshooting, and technical decision‑making. The Senior Staff Software Engineer brings a strong problem‑solving mindset, with the ability to analyze ambiguous technical and execution challenges, identify practical options, drive decisions, and follow through to resolution. They will demonstrate strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with an action‑oriented focus on quality, delivery, and results. The ideal candidate will be naturally curious and customer‑oriented; consistently seeking to learn how customers work, how our technology functions, and how engineering decisions translate into better user outcomes.
