Job summary

Terracon is seeking a Field Scientist to support our environmental consulting services in the Cincinnati area. You will conduct wetland delineations, collect data with GPS, and build detailed GIS maps to support project decisions.

You will review habitat, threatened and endangered species considerations, and help ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Travel for field work will be required, and collaboration with junior scientists is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Environmental Science, Ecology, or related field.
  • Proficiency in wetland delineation techniques and regulations.
  • Experience with GPS technology and data collection.
  • Strong GIS mapping skills to create detailed maps.
  • Knowledge of threatened and endangered species and habitats.
  • Familiarity with USACE 404 permitting processes (preferred).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for field work.

General Responsibilities:

As a Field Scientist, you will play a crucial role in our environmental consulting services.
