Job summary

Stryker in Portage, Michigan is seeking a Senior Staff Mechanical Engineer to lead design and development of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems for new products. You will translate user needs into design inputs, guide prototyping and testing, and ensure compliance with standards.

You must have a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 6+ years of experience, and strong GD&T/CAE skills. This role requires in-office work five days a week, with commuting to Portage.

Qualifications

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
  • 6+ years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Experience designing mechanical or electro-mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in GD&T and CAE tools.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design and development of mechanical systems and subsystems.
  • Translate user needs into design inputs and system-level outputs.
  • Guide prototyping, testing, and resolution of design issues.
  • Mentor engineers on engineering and design control practices.
  • Drive innovation through technical exploration and development.

  • Contribute to technical and product strategy.

What You Will Need:
