Job summary

Renesas Electronics seeks a highly motivated Project/Program Manager to join the Central PMO in the Analog & Mixed-Signal Product Group. You will own projects from kick-off to customer release, leading cross-functional teams across geographies to deliver complex mixed-signal products aligned with Renesas' global methodologies.

Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years of relevant experience in analog semiconductor.
  • 3-5+ years of hands-on program/project management leading mixed-signal analog products for commercial, industrial or automotive applications.
  • PMP certification is not required but will be a plus
  • 3-5+ years of experience in Product line NPI functional teams in hands-on roles
  • In-depth understanding of new product introduction and product development flow; automotive process a plus
  • Proficient with MS Project, Jira, SharePoint, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, Microsoft OneNote

Responsibilities

  • Manages assigned chip development projects for the MID by leading cross functional geographically dispersed teams from kick-off to customer release.
  • Develops, Defines, and executes project plans, schedules, budgets and deliverables for assigned projects.
  • Exhibit full project ownership, become the go-to person for all internal teams for questions related to assigned projects.
  • Work with MID PMO portfolio lead responsible for tracking project metrics/KPI such as schedule, risks, scope, budget, cost entitlement and manufacturability.
  • Support Annual Operation Planning with MID PM leader to estimate, forecast, and manage project and program spending.
  • Maintain discipline & practice guidelines, processes, and execution methodologies to continuously improve project execution.
  • Build trust with functional leadership to identify and remove roadblocks and improve efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive collaboration and share best practices to stay in sync with One Renesas.
  • Work with demand creation, sales and marketing to align execution and sample priorities with market and customer needs; prepare RFI/RFQ responses.
  • Communicate project status to leadership and stakeholders in reviews.
  • Escalate early to address issues and establish Tiger teams if needed.
  • Guide team to report project status updates at management decision point reviews and cross-functional progress reviews.

Company Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and disciplined Project/Program Manager to join our Central PMO office in Analog & Mixed-Signal Product Group. In this role, you will exhibit full project ownership, acting as the go-to person for internal teams and managing assigned chip development projects from kick-off to customer release. You will lead cross-functional, geographically dispersed teams to deliver complex mixed-signal products, ensuring alignment with Renesas' global methodologies and strategic goals.

Job Description
  • Manages assigned chip development projects for the Memory Interface Division (MID) by leading cross functional geographically dispersed teams that are focused on the delivery of products from kick-off to release for customers.
  • Develops, Defines, and executes project plans, schedules, budgets and deliverables for assigned projects.
  • Exhibit full project ownership, become the go-to person for all internal teams for questions related to assigned projects and have total involvement in all phases of product development process from start to finish.
  • Work with MID PMO portfolio lead responsible for tracking projects metrics/KPI such as schedule, risks, scope, budget, cost entitlement and manufacturability.
  • Support Annual Operation Planning. Working with MID PM leader to estimate, forecast, and manage individual project as well as program/portfolio spending to ensure actual spending tracks closely with forecast and avoid surprises.
  • Maintain good discipline & practice guidelines, processes, and execution methodologies for team to continuously improve project execution.
  • Build trust and collaborate closely with functional leadership from other functional teams for identifying and removing execution roadblocks, mitigate risks and improve efficiencies for continuously improving project execution.
  • Collaborate with X-functional teams and with peers from other business groups to drive collaboration and harvest best practices and lessons learned to keep MID Product group in sync with One Renesas methodologies, tools and systems.
  • Work with demand creation, sales and marketing to align execution and sample priorities with market and customer needs to allow us to compete and win. Guide team to help prepare customer requested RFI, RFQ responses to bid on key business opportunities.
  • Effectively communicate with leadership, with the team and across the organization to keep stakeholders, leadership informed of project status in periodic project reviews.
  • Escalate early to identify and address issues before they start to impact execution metrics, if needed by establishing Tiger teams.
  • Guide team to prepare and effectively report project status updates at management decision point reviews as well as cross functional project progress reviews.
Qualifications
  • Delivery of projects to schedule, budget, and quality. First time right mentality with execution
  • Implement project management strategy to challenge status quo and drive higher efficiency of execution to scale up to the roadmap requirements.
  • Continuous focus on mitigating project risk by tracking progress, contingency planning and acting on small signals with high urgency and timely escalation to prevent firefighting.
  • Develop a strong discipline mindset among project teams that understand their role and responsibilities, collaborate with each other and others in the team and seamlessly executes with continuous focus on improving all execution vectors.
  • Experienced semiconductor profession with 5-7+ years of relevant experience working for a major analog semiconductor company.
  • 3-5+ years of hand`s on technical program/project management experience leading teams to develop broad market or custom mix-signal analog products for commercial, industrial or automotive applications. PMP certification is not a requirement but will be plus
  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience being part of Product line NPI functional teams as a hands-on product, test, validation, design, quality or related function
  • In depth understanding of new product introduction and product development flow from concept to production release. Exposure to Automotive process is a plus
  • Proficient with industry standard project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, SharePoint, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, Microsoft OneNote
  • BS, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Masters or PhD EE is preferred
Additional Information

The expected annual pay range for this position is $157,000K-$197,000K. This position is also eligible for commission pay. Please note that final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
