Job summary

Boston Dynamics is seeking an experienced product manager for Stretch, the autonomous mobile case handling solution for warehouses. You will drive product discovery, shape strategy, and guide engineers to deliver value to customers, with onsite work in Waltham, MA and collaboration with strategic partners.

You will analyze workflows, lead cross-functional teams from customers to the C-suite, manage the product lifecycle, and prioritize features based on data, KPIs, and ROI.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of product management experience.
• Ability to translate customer needs into product requirements for engineering.
• Experience using market data, KPIs and financial models to assess market attractiveness and ROI.
• Experience engaging stakeholders from the loading dock to the C-suite.
• Experience working in robotics or warehousing domains is a plus.
• Onsite in Waltham, MA with up to 20% travel.

In this role you will be a part of the extraordinary team at Boston Dynamics that is building Stretch- the autonomous mobile case handling solution aimed at tackling some of the most challenging and demanding tasks in the warehouse. Stretch helps make daily work safer, easier, and more productive.

You’ll be an integral member of our warehouse robotics product management team.To thrive in this role, you must have a passion for customers.You will conduct product discovery, work cross-functionally to drive product strategy, and help guide our development team on building and launching products that deliver value to our customers.

This role requires a strong customer presence and the ability to work directly with strategic partners to understand workflows, pain points, and success criteria for large-scale automation deployments. Domain expertise in complex technical systems, robotics, and logistics is highly valued.

**Onsite in Waltham, MA

Day to day activities:

• Assess market needs in conjunction with the technological frontier to shape a cohesive and realistic product development roadmap, maximizing value for our customers.

• Work with prospects remotely and on-site to understand their needs, how they could use our products, and how we can help them succeed.

• Review customer data and metrics to validate hypotheses, identify opportunities, and assess performance of Stretch.

• Lead cross-functional collaboration between customers and engineers to design, build, and deploy innovative applications of Stretch, leading tradeoff negotiation and prioritization decisions.

• Provide product lifecycle management including customer engagement, stakeholder management, building business cases, product ideation, product requirement definition, prioritization, overseeing development and launch.

• Conduct gap and competitor analysis.

Desired skills:

• Minimum 7 years of experience as a product manager

• Proven ability to vet and translate customer needs into product requirements for engineering

• Proficiency in interpreting market data, KPIs, and financial models to assess market attractiveness and ROI potential

• Exceptional ability to synthesize data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations

• Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments

• Exceptional level of drive and autonomy

• Excellent skills in stakeholder management, documentation, and communication

• Extensive experience with engaging counterparties from the loading dock to the C‑Suite

• Experience working on complex highly technical systems and products

• Experience working with new technology introduction

• Experience working within the robotics industry or in the warehousing industry is a plus

Travel:

• This position requires occasional domestic and international travel to customer and potential sites up to 20 percent.
