Job summary

Stellar Cyber is seeking a Senior or Staff Software Engineer to own one or more integration domains within our Automation-Driven Open & Unified SecOps Platform. You will deliver robust, production-grade integrations across REST, GraphQL, streaming APIs, MCP, and LLM-powered automation, connecting our platform to cybersecurity tools and third-party services.

You will design, develop, and maintain parsing and normalization components to convert raw security data into a unified schema for detection

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend software development experience, including integration, data parsing, or log processing work, with 1+ years as a technical lead or proven ownership of a project.
• Strong proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language (Python, Go, Java, or C++), with production-quality code experience.
• Experience with API design and integration (REST, GraphQL, streaming), including secure patterns (OAuth, API keys, rate limiting).
• Experience using AI tools in production workflows and the judgment to balance AI output with human oversight.

Responsibilities

• Own one or more integration domains end-to-end: roadmap, architecture decisions, trade-offs, and delivery.
• Evolve shared integration frameworks and the parser framework, improving reliability and testability.
• Make design calls on schema mapping, normalization, and data handling, balancing generalization and special-casing.
• Mentor junior engineers through design discussions and code reviews.
