Job summary

Micron is seeking a Senior / Staff Environmental Sustainability Strategy leader to drive the company’s environmental initiatives. You will partner with executives and cross-functional teams to shape strategies, manage complex programs, and elevate data governance and reporting capabilities globally.

The role emphasizes collaboration, data-driven decision making, and effective communication to accelerate progress toward industry-leading performance in emissions, energy, water, and waste

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 5+ years of program management, operations, sustainability, or environmental management experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing across levels.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills with data-driven decision making.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish priorities with leadership and align goals with business objectives across emissions, energy, water, and waste programs.
• Plan, execute, and govern sustainability initiatives with roadmaps, dependencies, risks, and issue resolution.
• Develop data governance, reporting processes, dashboards, and AI-enabled modeling to improve performance tracking.
• Coordinate across global teams, ensuring clear ownership, accountability, and alignment.
• Provide structured updates and communication to raise organizational awareness of priorities and progress.

Micron is seeking a strategic and collaborative Environmental Sustainability Program Manager to help drive the company's environmental sustainability initiatives and accelerate progress toward industry-leading performance. In this role, you will partner with leaders and cross-functional teams to develop sustainability strategies, manage complex programs, strengthen data governance and reporting capabilities, and enable effective communication across the organization. The ideal candidate combines program management expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to influence collaborators to achieve meaningful environmental outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Environmental Sustainability leadership and cross-functional collaborators to establish priorities, align sustainability goals with business objectives, and drive continuous improvement across emissions, energy, water, and waste programs.
• Lead the planning, execution, and governance of sustainability initiatives by managing program roadmaps, dependencies, achievements, risks, and issue resolution activities.
• Develop and enhance data governance, reporting processes, dashboards, and AI-enabled modeling capabilities to improve the accuracy, visibility, and effectiveness of sustainability performance tracking.
• Facilitate collaboration across global teams, ensuring clear ownership, accountability, and alignment while proactively addressing barriers to achieving program objectives.
• Drive effective communication strategies by providing structured updates, sharing guidelines, engaging collaborators, and supporting organizational awareness of sustainability priorities and progress.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in program management, business operations, sustainability, environmental management, or a related field.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing collaborators across multiple levels of an organization.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, with experience using data to drive decisions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex information to diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting corporate environmental sustainability programs, including emissions, energy, water, waste, or ESG initiatives.
• Knowledge of sustainability reporting, environmental data management, and performance measurement methodologies.
• Experience developing dashboards, data visualization tools, or AI-enabled analytics solutions.
• Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean/Six Sigma, or other relevant program management certification.
• Experience working in a manufacturing, semiconductor, or highly complex operational environment.
• Experience and/or interest in developing Agentic AI workflows into current or future processes.
