D3 Embedded is seeking a highly skilled Staff Embedded Software Engineer to lead design, development, and optimization of complex embedded systems for imaging and radar applications. You will drive software architecture, mentor teams, and influence long-term technology roadmaps.

The role requires deep expertise in embedded C/C++, RTOS, CMOS cameras, and video pipelines, with strong problem-solving and leadership capabilities. Rochester, NY-based with potential remote options.

Qualifications

• BS degree in CS/CE/EE or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years embedded software experience.
• Proficient in C/C++, debugging, and hardware interfaces.
• Experience with Embedded Linux, device drivers, and kernel concepts.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of the product development cycle from requirements to delivery.
• Integrate image sensors and cameras into real-time systems.
• Design high-performance video pipelines for real-time data.
• Provide technical direction and mentorship on complex projects.
• Collaborate across hardware/software teams and assist with board bring-up.
