Palo Alto Networks is seeking a bright, talented DevOps Platform Developer to join a team of engineers working on mission-critical systems in cybersecurity. You will design, implement and deploy products and infrastructures that increase stability and quality while reducing time to market.

You will help scale our development flow, build application infrastructures and tools, and contribute to a culture of trust, collaboration, and continuous improvement in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years as Software, DevOps, or infrastructure developer.
  • Proficient with Python, Groovy, Bash and PowerShell.
  • Cloud infra experience: AWS/Azure/Google Cloud.
  • Containers and orchestrators: Docker, Kubernetes, ECS.
  • Jenkins clusters as code; CI/CD experience.
  • Infrastructure as code and OS administration experience.
  • Strong design, analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Active participation in open-source communities; awareness of dependencies.

Job Summary

We are looking for a bright, talented DevOps Platform Developer to join a team of highly energized and professional engineers working on mission-critical systems in the red-hot cybersecurity industry. Focused on development flow productivity, building application infrastructures and tools, with huge challenges related to hyper-growth of engineering and application scale.

As part of your role, you will design, implement and deploy products and infrastructures which will directly increase our stability and quality, while reducing our time to market.

Qualifications
  • 2-5 years of hands-on experience working as a Software, DevOps, or infrastructure developer
  • Significant development experience with the following: Python, Groovy, Bash, PowerShell
  • Deep knowledge and experience in cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Experience with Containers and Orchestrators (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, etc.)
  • Extensive experience managing high-scale Jenkins clusters as code.
  • Experienced with building the full application release cycle (CI/CD).
  • Experience in the creation of highly automated Infrastructures - as code
  • Knowledge of operating system administration
  • Excellent design and analytical skills
  • Creative troubleshooting skills and out-of-the-box thinking
  • Know your way around the open-source community
  • Experienceand understanding of software dependency supply chains

  • Security principles and techniques (Risk management, threat modeling, secure configuration)
  • Database usage experience and understanding
  • Experience with Agile development and practices
  • Cloud Solution ArchitectCertificateMust be a U.S Citizen or GreenCard holder for meeting with FedRAMP High authorized access requirements
Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-commissioned roles) is expected to be the annual range listed below. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.

$104,000.00 - $169,500.00/yr
