Job summary

Langan International, LLC in Dallas, TX seeks a Senior Staff Civil Engineer to lead planning, design, and permitting of civil and land development projects. The role offers exposure to mixed-use developments, shopping centers, residential, higher education, federal, and other land development initiatives in a learning environment.

The successful candidate will contribute to site/civil design, collaborate across disciplines, and advance professional growth within a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• EIT certification; PE preferred.
• 3+ years of site/civil design experience including site planning, grading, storm water management, drainage, and soil erosion.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong attention to detail with analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to follow direction and work in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and modify engineering documents such as reports, specs, plans, schedules, and cost estimates using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and related tools.
• Assess soil, terrain, hydrology, and geologic data from reports, maps, drawings, and tests for project planning and design.
• Familiarity with local, state, and federal land use permitting is a plus.
• Collaborate with team members on project tasks and assignments.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Job Summary

Langan is seeking a Senior Staff Civil Engineer to join its collaborative team in Dallas, TX. This individual will serve a key function in providing the planning, design, and permitting of civil engineering, land development, and infrastructure projects. In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain experience in site/civil engineering design for mixed‑use developments, shopping centers, residential, higher education, federal, and other exciting land development projects in a continuous learning environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and modification of various engineering documents including reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, cost estimates and design plans for projects using engineering and design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.) and equipment;
• Use reports, maps, drawings, engineering plans, tests, and aerial photographs to assess soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and topographical and geologic data and their impact on the planning and design of projects;
• Familiarity with current local, state, and federal land use permitting is a plus;
• Collaborate with team members on project tasks and assignments; and
• Perform other job duties as requested.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering;
• EIT certification. PE certification preferred;
• 3+ years of prior relevant professional experience in site/civil design, including site planning, grading, storm water management, drainage, and soil erosion;
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities; and
• Demonstrated ability to follow direction and work in a collaborative team environment.
