Job summary

Google Photos is seeking a software engineer to lead the development of agentic storytelling experiences, collaborating with the Memories and Video Editing teams to redefine the app at scale.

You will work with GenMedia, LLMs, and Gemini integration, designing multi-year technical goals and driving architected solutions that connect curation, retrieval, and story generation. In-person interviews are common; Mountain View, NY, or Cambridge locations may be offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience programming in C++.
• 5 years of experience in design and architecture; and testing/launching software products.

Responsibilities

• Define the multi-year technical goal and scalable architecture for agentic storytelling in Photos.
• Architect and develop conversational and agentic capabilities leveraging GenMedia and LLMs for storytelling.
• Partner with engineering leads to build unified curation, retrieval, and editing capabilities and collaborate with research partners to integrate latest models.
• Pioneer the use of AI to accelerate development and coach the team on agentic workflows.
