About The Role

The AI Solution Architect is a senior technical leader within Dolby's AI & Business Enablement organization, responsible for shaping and advancing the company's AI technology ecosystem.

As both a strategic thinker and hands‑on architect, this role defines Dolby's AI reference architecture, drives the roadmap for agentic systems platforms, and ensures alignment between AI, data, and infrastructure strategies. The AI Solution Architect plays a critical role in enabling innovation, accelerating business outcomes, and helping Dolby realize the full potential of AI across the enterprise.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex challenges, influencing technology direction, and delivering transformative AI solutions at scale.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define, evolve, and maintain Dolby's AI reference architecture, establishing scalable standards, principles, and design patterns across business groups and functions.
  • Own the roadmap for agentic systems platforms, translating business objectives into actionable technical strategies, milestones, and implementation plans.
  • Design and implement cross‑platform AI integration frameworks that connect AI capabilities with enterprise data platforms and infrastructure.
  • Guide the optimization of AI‑related compute and token usage as adoption scales, continuously adapting architectural approaches to an evolving AI cost landscape.
  • Solve complex and novel architectural challenges by applying expertise across multiple AI and machine learning disciplines.
  • Partner closely with Data and Infrastructure teams to ensure AI solutions are aligned with enterprise architecture, data strategy, and operational goals.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to AI engineers, agentics engineers, and cross‑functional stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with technology vendors, platform partners, and industry peers to stay ahead of emerging AI trends and advancements.
  • Support AI Governance and Risk initiatives by ensuring architectural decisions align with responsible AI, security, and compliance standards.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, AI/ML engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Hands‑on experience designing AI reference architectures, developing agentic systems, and integrating AI solutions across platforms and enterprise environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to create innovative technical solutions for complex challenges where established approaches may not exist.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise data platforms, cloud infrastructure, and system architecture, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams.
  • Excellent communication and influence skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for business stakeholders and executive audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with AI FinOps, including AI cost modeling, governance, and compute optimization at scale.
  • Experience evaluating and integrating emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and platforms.

The San Francisco/Bay Area base salary range for this full‑time position is $190,300 - $261,500 and the Atlanta Area base salary range is $152,200 - $209,200, which can vary if outside this location, plus bonus, benefits, and some roles may also include equity. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, competencies, experience, market demands, internal parity, and relevant education or training.
